Cortisone elevates blood pressure, suppresses the immune system and reduces inflammation due to injury.
Prescribed medicinally as anti-inflammatory (SAID), cortisone injections are administered to relieve pain and reduce inflammation of injured joints, tendons, or synovial bursae.
