Vegetable Oil

Edible oil extracted from a plant, especially from the seeds as in peanut oil, corn oil, soy-bean oil or canola oil, from tree nuts, as in walnut oil or almond oil, or from the pericarp of fruits, as in olive oil or avocado oil.

By convention, vegetable oils are liquid at room temperature. Compare Vegetable_Fat.
